Nourishing Nature, Sharing Our Goodness.
BeeNZ is a family owned and operated business based in the small town of Katikati in the beautiful Bay of Plenty on the North Island of New Zealand. David and Julie, a husband and wife team, oversee the journey of the honey from hive to jar. They are passionate about the environment and firmly believe that bee health is of the utmost importance.
Through the process of managing the beekeeper, extractor, processor, packer and finally the exporter, they ensure complete integrity throughout the honey-making process. Their respect for values, community and sustainability create an environment of trust, a key factor in the success of BeeNZ.
The business operates as a family unit, much like a hive; each member integral to the happiness and success of the whole. Following natures lead; crafted with care by one family, for another
We are providing our people with a safe working environment and supporting their wellbeing. We do this through monthly wellbeing activities in support of causes & charities such as Pink Shirt Day, Movember, Prostate Awareness Month & The Breast Cancer Foundation. These monthly activities provide not only an opportunity for our team to support amazing causes but also for the team to come together and grow.
BeeNZ is proud to be Living Wage Certified, this means that our staff earn the hourly wage a worker needs to pay for the necessities of life and participate as an active citizen in the community.
“It is important to us to look after our local community and the people in it.”
- Julie Hayes, Owner / Director
We also enjoy our role as being a responsible citizen and aligning our environmental and social responsibilities through actively supporting our local community and individuals.
We have a dedicated Wellbeing Program in place which we have named “The Good Buzz”. Every month we have a different activity in which the team all take part in. So far for 2022 we have celebrated International Women’s Day, put our brains to the test in a workplace wide Wordle competition, shared dishes from around the world and learnt some sign language.
